Affordability complaint approved by FOS… Ticket Number: 2019101710011269 Affordability complaint approved by FOS and Lending Stream (Gain Credit) but it seems that there is no urgency within Lending Stream / Gain Credit to provide the refund within a short period of time. Even after acceptance by the company that they had been irresponsible in their lending practices. Surely a more customer focus course of action would be to provide the refund as quickly as possible, instead of stretching this out to the maximum 28 days allowed. I phoned a manager within Lending Stream this morning to request my payment is expedited due to urgent personal issues and he said he will communicate back to me later in the day to confirm if this is possible, I am at day 22 so I don't consider I am asking too much from a company that has admitted they were irresponsible to provide me the refund. The payments are made via faster payments, so it's not as if I need to wait 3 days for the BACS to process. At the end of the day I will update this to confirm if the manager emailed me as he said he would or if i have been ignored again. If they do stretch this out to the full 28 days surely the FCA needs to look into why some PDL companies actively provide refunds as soon as possible and others inflict more misery on customers by delaying as long as possible even when the complaint process itself is a very long drawn out process. I hope to report that payment is made within the next couple of days and I will gladly amend my rating because they listened to my request and made payment.
